Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: In the 58th All India Railway Shooting Championship held in Asansol (West Bengal), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar shooter Sumedh Kumar (Central Railway, Pune) performed brilliantly and won two gold medals.

Sumedh Kumar brought glory to the name of Central Railway by winning gold in the 25m sports pistol category with a score of 576/600 in the individual category and also in the team category. Notably, this success achieved despite the lack of regular shooting practice throughout the year is all the more impressive. His ability to perform well even under pressure has been proven once again. Recently, Sumedh Kumar has completed the one-year NIS Coach Diploma training at the SAI (Sports Authority of India) center in Bengaluru with distinction, becoming the first NIS trained shooting coach in Maharashtra. Sumedh Kumar is an inspirational figure for the young shooters of the region, and his double success is being appreciated everywhere in the sports field. He is expected to achieve great success in the upcoming national and international competitions.
