Maharashtra State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament concludes in Nashik with enthusiasm

Nashik: In the 4th Maharashtra State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, Nashik’s first seed Keshika Purkar defeated Thane’s sixth seed Prisha Malik 11-2, 12-14, 13-11, 11-6 in the finals to win the gold medal. Keshika created a new history by winning all four tournaments this season. In the under-13 boys’ category, TSTA Mumbai’s eighth seed Acharya Yadav defeated Pune’s tenth seed Varadaan Kolte 11-2, 11-7, 11-8 to clinch the gold medal by winning 3-0.

In the under-11 girls’ category, Aaradhya Konkane, the thirteenth seed from Thane, defeated Samruddhi Manvekar of Kolhapur 11-3, 11-3, 11-3 easily 3-0 to win the gold medal. In the same category, in the boys’ singles, Vardan Kolte of Pune, the fourth seed, defeated Yuvan Walia of Mumbai 11-6, 12-10, 8-11, 11-9 to win the title and capture the gold medal. Vardan Kolte won one gold and one silver medal in this competition.

In the under-15 boys’ category, Nilay Patekar, the first seed from Thane, defeated Pratik Tulsani, the second seed from Thane, 4-1 to win the gold medal as expected. In the under-15 girls’ category, Pune’s second seed Naisha Nevaskar easily defeated Thane’s first seed Saanvi Puranik 11-6, 13-11, 11-7 to win the second gold medal of the tournament.

Prize Distribution Ceremony

Nashik District Table Tennis Association President Narendra Chhajed, Chief Guest Maharashtra State Table Tennis Association President Praveen Lunkad, General Secretary Yatin Tipnis, Treasurer Sanjay Kadu, Executive Committee Members Shekhar Bhandari, Mahendra Chiplunkar, Ashok Raut, Ganesh Malve, District Treasurer Abhishek Chhajed, National Coach Sanjay Modak and other dignitaries were present at the prize distribution ceremony.
On this occasion, Chief Guests Praveen Lunkad and Yatin Tipnis expressed their views on behalf of the state association and praised the Nashik District Association for organizing this tournament in an excellent manner. Narendra Chhajed gave the introduction. On this occasion, the winning players were honored with cash prizes and trophies. The program was moderated by Seema Karpe.
