Pune : Indian Olympians Rohan Boppana, Sumit Nagal , Ankita Raina, Prarthana Thombare, Vaishanvi Adkar, Sahaja Yamalapalli, Shrivalli Rashmika Bhamidipaty alongside Davis Cupper, Yuki Bhambri, Vishnuvardhan will be amongst the top Tennis players to be seen in action at the Bharat Petroleum Organized 44th PSPB Inter-Unit Lawn Tennis Tournament which will be held at the Deccan Gymkhana Tennis Courts in Pune from November 5 to November 8, 2025.
Mr. Deepak Jain, Chief General Manager Sports, Bharat Petroleum the hosts informed Over 100 players will represent Tennis teams of Major Oil & Gas corporations such as IOCL,ONGC, MNGL, OIL , NRL , EIL , HPCL and Hosts BPCL in the four day event which will be organized in the team and individual competitions in the Men’s, Womens , Veterans Categories . Sameera Reddy, Member Secretary of PSPB, ITF White Badge Refree Shiva Reddy were present on the occasion.
Top Indian Tennis players Rohan Bopanna, Divij Sharan, Sumit Nagal; Prarthana Thombare, Riya Bhatia and Rushmi Chakravarthi will represent the Indian OIl Corporation team Davis Cuppers Yuki Bhambri , J Vishnu Vardhan,and V M Ranjeet will turn out for the ONGC team , World University Games Bronze Medalist Vaishnavi Adkar, Fed Cup Players Sahaja Yamalapalli, Shrivalli Rashmika Bhamidipaty. Riya Sachdeva, Anant Mani will be representing hosts BPCL apart from the Two Time Veterans Champion Raj Kumar Dubey.
The event will be played under the ITF rules and will have internationally and nationally certified officials officiating in the events with all top tennis players in India Participating.
Mr. Jain also highlighted the contribution of the Bharat Petroleum and other Oil Companies in nurturing an immense pool of sporting talent in India and bolstering India’s growing presence in the International Sports circles.
